Birthday Month

Here’s a few highlights from birthday month to date…. (technically there are still 10 days left)

Libations at Roof On The Wit – beautiful views and rated the #1 rooftop bar in Chicago for good reason. A beautiful sight to see with the sun setting.

Disotto Enoteca Wine Bar – tucked downstairs of a small boutique hotel.  Great selection of wines and small plates.  Exposed brick, candles, and some place you just want to sip wine for a very long time.

High Tea at The Peninsula.  I’m such a sucker for three tiers of food, a big pot of tea, and violins playing in the background.

Takashi Sunday Noodle Brunch.  A big bowl of miso ramen and duck fat fried chicken tenders.  Oh my!

Looking forward to the chef’s new restaurant opening soon!

Cere’s Table – real deal Sicilian cooking.  Simple, exquisite, and worth the trip. (Picture from their website)

Avec – no pictures needed.  If you haven’t been, put your shoes and go now.  My go to restaurant for everything!

No birthday is complete with a cupcake from Sprinkles and a Mast Brother’s chocolate bar. (picture from their website)

Big hug and kiss to everyone who made turning 42 a wonderful time and also for enduring a whole month of celebration!!

    Hi Joan!
Yes, a whole month…why not! I did indeed get the chocolate from Fox & Obel. They have two big baskets right now- my favorite is the sea salt. I ran across the brothers in Williamsburg back in 09′ and have been a huge fan ever since. In November, I am going to do their tour and stock up.
